About Me

Hello! I'm Louis van der Walt, also known as SuperUserDone.

I am a final-year computer science student who thrives on breaking down tough problems and finding elegant solutions. I started tinkering with code years ago and eventually stumbled into the world of cybersecurity, where I’ve been hooked ever since.

Since then, I've helped build a strong cybersecurity culture at my university: co-founding and chairing the cybersecurity society that began in the shadows and emerged into the light of official recognition.

I like solving problems that look impossible at first glance. Whether it’s in code, competitions, or leadership, I’m at my best when the pressure’s on.

What I Do

I live at the intersection of cybersecurity and software engineering, turning complex problems into clean, elegant solutions.

Right now, I work as a part-time developer, bringing a hacker's mindset to every. single. line of code that I write.

Interests

I chase down challenges that seem unsolvable, the kind that push you to the edge of what’s possible. Capture the Flag competitions are my proving ground, where every puzzle sharpens my edge and fuels the next hunt.

When I’m not locked in battle with code, I’m crafting everything from low-level engines like PyroEngine and SpaceEngine to practical tools and open-source projects that blur the lines between experimentation and real-world impact.

And sometimes, I trade the keyboard for an electric guitar, weaving melodies with friends and my church band. It’s a different rhythm, a reminder that creation isn’t always binary; sometimes it’s about the notes between the lines.
